The Players' Whitepaper
Twenty-four hours. Pick a side. Fish put CHUM on the line. Sharks back the table. When the clock runs out, one result decides what comes back.

Shark Game Genesis
Shark Game Genesis is the one external OpenSea collection: a maximum of 33,333 tokens with one public mint price of $10 in ETH.
| Genesis fact | Launch rule |
|---|---|
| Public window | 12 hours · one price |
| Random mix | 90% Fish / 10% Shark |
| Shark trait | Bite 5–8 |
| Rarity | Cosmetic only |
The mint closes 12 hours after opening. Final supply is reduced to the number minted; metadata is generated for those tokens, the collection is revealed, and the final manifest is hashed. Only after reveal do the game contracts deploy and seal TraitRegistry; the first Hunt round opens after that seal.
The day
A round opens, the clock starts, and two kinds of players take their seats. Fish put CHUM on the line. Sharks put CHUM behind the table. When the round closes, every Fish gets the same kind of answer: swim or get caught.
Put up a Shark Game Genesis Fish, choose a depth, and wager CHUM. The safer the water, the smaller the payout. Go deeper for more upside — and more ways to lose the stake.
Put up a Shark Game Genesis Shark and enough CHUM to cover the table. If Fish are paid, your capital is what makes that possible. Whatever remains is shared among the Sharks.
The table
Your NFT decides which chair you can take. Fish choose the risk. Sharks supply the reserve. Bite sets a Shark's weight; it does not secretly tilt a Fish's odds.
Choose a depth, put CHUM at risk, and wait for the round to close.
Put capital behind the round. You take the other side of the Fish wagers.
Every Genesis token has a cosmetic rarity. It changes the look, never Fish survival, Shark Bite, capacity, or the house edge.
The NFT is yours. You choose the token, the game holds it while you play, and it comes back when the position is settled.
The depth dial
Every choice is on the screen before you sign. Shallows is the safest route. The Deep pays more, but it asks for more risk and more Shark capacity.
The calm route. About nine Fish in ten make it through.
The middle line. More payout, more chance of getting caught.
The coin-flip water. Highest payout, highest risk, and the biggest draw on Shark capacity.
A round cannot promise more Fish payout than its Sharks can cover. If capacity is gone, lower the wager, choose shallower water, or try again next round.
Bubble Shield
Pay a 10% premium before you dive. If your Fish gets caught, the Shield keeps half of the wager instead of sending the whole amount to the Shark pool.
| Moment | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before you dive | The confirmation shows depth, survival chance, payout, capacity, and what leaves your wallet. |
| If you survive | Your Fish gets the advertised payout for that depth. |
| If you are caught | The wager goes to the Shark pool. With a Shield, half stays with you. |
| When the round ends | Your NFT comes back after the position is settled. If the game pauses, an emergency exit remains available. |
The Shield costs a 10% premium and keeps 50% of the wager on a catch. It softens a loss; it does not turn one into a win. Read the confirmation and wager only what you can lose.
The house
Sharks do not get better Fish odds. They put up the reserve that makes payouts possible, then split what is left. The bigger the Bite and the more capital you post, the more weight you carry.
Choose how much CHUM to put behind the round. That capital is exposed to Fish payouts.
Your share is based on Bite × posted capital. More of either gives you more weight.
After Fish payouts and the 2% rake, the remaining Shark pool is divided by that weight.
One result resolves every Fish in the round. Claiming earlier does not improve the odds.
A Shark can lose money. Your reserve is the house bankroll for this round, not a guaranteed return.
Your Shark Game Genesis NFT comes back after the Shark position is finished. The game does not keep it.
The resolution
When a 24-hour Hunt closes, its randomness follows reveal → later blockhash → checkpoint/finalize. One finalized word resolves every Fish, and settlement order cannot change the roll.
If the randomness request is void, each remaining Fish receives its exact credited wager plus any Shield premium and each remaining Shark receives its exact posted capital. Their NFTs return too.
The exact residual randomness trust boundary is recorded in the security checklist; this whitepaper makes no stronger promise.
The money
CHUM already exists outside this game as a fixed-supply Pons token with 1B total supply. We do not mint it, set its price, or promise that it will be worth anything tomorrow.
The game cannot create more CHUM. Its market value can still fall to zero.
2% comes out of the round pot: 1.5% leaves play, and 0.5% pays for operations and settlement.
The game does not rely on trading fees, buybacks, or outside money that appears from nowhere.
The confirmation shows amount, payout, survival chance, house edge, and capacity.
No APR. No passive return. No promise that CHUM or an NFT goes up. You can lose the wager on a single round. Play only where permitted, and only with money you can afford to lose.

CHUM is a game token, not an investment. Its price can fall to zero.
This is a random-outcome wager. One round can take the full stake, even when the odds are clear.
Shark Game Genesis NFTs stay external. The game does not guarantee their price, liquidity, availability, or metadata.
Play only where permitted. If you need financial or legal advice, ask someone qualified.
Your move
Try the demo first. When the public Hunt is configured after reveal, bring your own Shark Game Genesis NFT and CHUM.
